New to K9 Adventures?
Before we schedule, we listen. Your dog, your household, and your goals are unique - so your training plan should be, too. Our intake process provides us with the details we need to design a plan that actually fits your life.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, embarrassed, or just stuck, you’re in the right place.
We specialize in complex behavior: fear, reactivity, multi-dog conflict, “bite risk” cases, and situations where other trainers haven’t been able to help.
Our Intake Process allows us to understand your dog’s history, your daily life, and what “success” truly means to you.
How Our Process Works
Step 1 - Tell Us About Your Dog(s)
Complete the Intake Form
Plan on 10–15 minutes. We’ll ask about: history, behavior, household, routines, medical notes, and how you want life with your dog to feel.
The more honest and detailed you are, the better we can help.
Step 3 - You receive your Client Hub
You’ll get an email with:
A clear summary of your priorities and goals
Recommended packages (or a few options) that fit your assessment of your dog
A link to your private Client Folder with your Client Hub page, session notes sheet, and important links all in one place
Step 2 - Daniel Reviews and Designs a Plan
Daniel personally reads every intake and evaluates:
Behavior and risk factors
Your environment and routines
Your goals and capacity
From there, he maps your case to the right service structure and priorities - no generic “session bundles.”
Step 4 - Schedule and Start Training
When you’re ready, use the scheduling link in your email or Client Hub to schedule your initial consult session. We’ll meet, build a viable training plan, and begin working toward safer, calmer daily life.
What To Expect?
Most new clients start with an in-depth consultation and a short series of sessions focused on:
Safety for everyone in the home
Clear, calm communication between you and your dog
Regulating arousal and stress—for both dog and human
Homework that fits your real schedule
Honest conversations about risk and realistic timelines
We don’t promise a quick fix. We do promise a trainer who is invested in your long-term success and truthful about what it will take.
Safety, Risk, and Bite History
Many clients come to us after a bite, a near-miss, or a dog they no longer fully trust.
If your dog has broken skin on a person or another animal - or if safety is a serious concern - please describe it in detail on the intake.
Daniel reviews these cases with a safety-first lens. Sometimes that means:
Management steps before our first visit
Adjusting where or how sessions happen
Starting with your dog muzzled or kenneled when we arrive
If you’re unsure whether training is appropriate, complete the intake and we’ll advise you honestly.
We specialize in the complex cases other trainers turn away. We do not believe any dog is a lost cause.

You’ll typically receive your initial email and personal Client Hub link within three business days. If your case is urgent or safety-related, please note that in the intake form and select the earliest booking date on the calendar link that you receive in your personal Client Hub.
-
You don’t have to know. The intake helps Daniel recommend the structure that makes sense for you: private lessons, day training, a more immersive plan, or a combination of all.
-
You don’t have to pick and stack packages on your own. Daniel designs each contract with your end goals in mind, not just one behavior at a time.
He can often work on multiple issues within the same contract by building efficient session plans: repeating key skills across situations, choosing the right training environments, and introducing new stimuli in a thoughtful, structured way.
The length of your contract, the number and spacing of sessions, and where those sessions happen are all tools he adjusts to meet your dog’s needs safely and effectively. Every contract is composed with your dog’s long-term success as the top priority.

The most helpful thing you can do right now is complete the intake with as much detail as you can. We’ll take it from there.
